After so much research I decided to go with this Darche tent.

Reasons why.

The length (2160) fits me will I’m 6’2
The height (1050) perfect to sit up in.
Width (1300) great fit for my 4WD

Darche Has always made great quality camping equipment and I was really excited that they brought this tent out with bigger dimensions as I found whilst testing other tents Especially the clan ones, my feet would always be hitting the bottom.

So I really wanted a pop-up one like this I think that Darche Has come very close to getting this tent right however there is a few things that I was a little disappointed in.

Firstly the mattress is quite rubbish. It is on par with something from Kings quicky 2 which is a shame. I thought the mattress would’ve been the same quality as what is in the ridgebacks. Unfortunately it is not.

When the tent is up, if there is wind, it will rattle as there is a fair bit of Flex in the tent. I’m not sure how it will go in a very strong wind.

Also The stainless steel clips do seem to be quite flimsy and not high-quality, especially something with a $3000 pricetag.

Other than that, I think it is an all-round good hands with plenty of windows to capture views and breezes being 61 kg is a huge benefit to take it on and off and considering when you are putting an awning as well on your roof racks or roof platform. It keeps all round weight down.

It’s a shame you can’t fit a solar panel on top but that’s okay for me.

I think Darche Has done really well with the dimensions of this tent. I feel as though if they do make another one they need to get the final touches right other than that. Well done.
