The DARCHE Safari Tent 350 is a spacious canvas touring tent built for families and groups who want genuine headroom, exceptional ventilation and a fast, uncomplicated setup that doesn't require a team effort. The larger sibling of the Safari Tent 260, the 350 comfortably sleeps 4 to 6 people and is built from the same tough 260gsm ripstop polycotton canvas with a PU 2000mm water rating and a 320gsm PVC bucket floor. It packs flat for easy loading into any touring vehicle, and customers consistently rate it as one of the most impressive canvas family tents available at its price point.

Single Trigger-Lock Pole Setup

Peg out the tent, insert the single internal trigger-lock centre pole and you are done. No threading poles through sleeves, no complicated guy rope configurations and no instructions needed after the first time. A max head height of 2100mm means there is comfortable standing room throughout the interior, and the 350's generous floor dimensions give you enough room to fit a double mattress and still have space left over for storage. For campers who want to free up even more floor space, the optional Safari A-frame kit (sold separately) replaces the centre pole entirely.

Exceptional Ventilation for Warm and Variable Weather

The Safari 350 is designed to stay comfortable in a wide range of conditions. Two large zippered side windows gusset closed in wet weather and open fully in the heat, while low-level gusseted air vents on three sides provide constant passive airflow through the sleeping area. The rear window storm flap includes eyelets and converts to a rear awning for excellent cross-ventilation, and super-fine insect mesh on all doors and windows keeps insects out without restricting airflow. Reviewed customers note the tent handles cold nights and driving rain with confidence.

Zip-On Front Awning Included

A large zip-on awning is included with the Safari 350, complete with twist-lock awning poles, pegs and guy ropes, providing a generous covered outdoor living area directly off the front entry at no extra cost. The awning is a significant practical addition that makes the Safari 350 a far more complete campsite shelter out of the box than most comparable canvas tents. For even greater coverage and enclosure, the Safari wall kit (sold separately) can be added to extend and close in the awning space.

260gsm Ripstop Polycotton Canvas and PVC Bucket Floor

The tent body is built from 260gsm ripstop polycotton canvas, seam-sealed and rated to PU 2000mm waterhead for reliable wet weather protection across extended camping trips. The 320gsm PVC bucket floor keeps ground moisture and insects out across the full floor area, and the polycotton canvas construction naturally regulates temperature inside the tent better than synthetic alternatives, keeping it warmer on cool nights and cooler on warm days.

Practical Interior Details

Internal gear pockets keep essentials organised and off the floor, and a pocketed zippered power cord inlet lets you run a cable from an external power source without leaving a door or window open. The rear frame pole on the 350 adds structural rigidity across the back of the tent, complementing the centre pole for a stable and well-tensioned pitch in variable weather conditions.

Complete your campsite with a DARCHE vehicle awning for additional shade and shelter, sleeping bags and camping mattresses for overnight comfort, and camping furniture and camping lighting to finish your setup. Also explore the Safari Tent 260 if you need a more compact option, and our full range of camping tents and shelters for more choices.

Safari 350 Tent Review

First of all, I just want to say wow. I work with caravans and in camping, so used to the Darche quality with their rooftop tents. I bought the Safari 350 from Tentworld and just started weathering my canvas this morning. The quality and craftsmanship that went into this tent has absolutely blown me away. Just from a touch of their poly/cotton mix, you can already tell that there is absolutely nothing else like it for the same price point. It feels rugged, durable and like a tent that will last for many years to come. I saw the Safari 260 on display and wanted something slightly bigger for the Mrs and I. I did not think that the 350 would pack this much usable size into such a small amount of packing dimensions. I can easily fit a double, with speculation maybe even a queen size bed between the centre pole and rear. There is an A-Frame kit available if the centre pole bothers you, however I like it for the faster set-up and less to carry. The pole doesn't get in the way, and i find it handy for cornering off specific areas to use as storage spaces with rear sleeping. I was in Rosa Glen with it not long ago, and the cold nights barely felt like anything in this tent. It was hammering down with rain and even without the guy ropes being pegged down, the tent stood strong as nails. The big size of the tent makes it feel like you have an endless amount of room and storage space inside. This is a seriously impressive tent from Darche, I suggest you take a proper look at this before even batting an eye at any other manufacturer. 100% satisfied and could not be happier.

Love this tent. Plenty of room for 2 of us.
No condensation either.
Very easy to put up and break down.
